Our first malasadas (served hot)
This bird and a few of his little friends are also big fans of the malasada.
I'd seen an old-fashioned looking bakery not far from our hotel and decided we needed to invetigate this place further. So, this morning we got up and went to Leonard's, home of the malasada, a Portuguese doughnut. Malasada history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malasada
They tasted like a funnel cake, only better. It's a good thing I don't live in Hawaii, because I would be addicted.
